Colour Studies

This project started from a desire to experience the joy of doodling but by using a printing press. I collected together a selection of laser cut, wooden and linocut blocks and began by printing 5 different base layers in an edition of 20 each. Then, throughout the year I returned to the project, composed a new lock up and added it to the previously printed sheets, creating a selection of around 30 different combinations and variations throughout the year. From this selection an edition of my favourite designs were selected for exhibition.
