Whilst helping move the presses and equipment into the newly open London Centre for Book arts I had the pleasure/misfortune of helping to assemble an Arab printing press. Apparently when it was made it was considered a “portable” press that could be assembles by one person…it took 4 of us. Alongside a hand typed instruction manual we had scans of the original engraved parts list so we could check which piece was what.
